Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
I want to provide clarity regarding my billing practices as a therapist. I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not participate in insurance networks and do not accept direct payment from insurance companies for my services. However, I do offer an option that may help you seek reimbursement for your therapy expenses through your insurance provider.
Superbill for Reimbursement:
Each month, I can provide you with a superbill, which is a detailed invoice that includes all the necessary information about our session, including the date, duration, services provided, and my credentials. This superbill can be submitted by you to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Understanding Your Insurance Plan:
It's important to review your insurance plan carefully to understand your out-of-network mental health benefits, as they can vary from one plan to another. This will help you determine if and how much of the therapy fees your insurance company may reimburse you.
Client Responsibility:
Please keep in mind that as an out-of-network provider, you are responsible for paying the full therapy fee at the time of our sessions. Additionally, any deductibles, co-payments, or co-insurance required by your insurance plan are also your responsibility.
What do you charge?
My fee is $150/ session. Each session is 50 minutes. The fee is the same for an individual or for a couple or family session. A card will be kept on file and charged at the end of each session.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask that clients cancel at least 24 hours in advance. If cancellation happens within 24 hours, clients are subject to the full session fee. This is to maintain a healthy therapeutic relationship.
Where does the name Diagonal House come from?
The Diagonal House is how my family refers to my childhood home on Diagonal Street in St. George, UT.
How do I change my credit card information that is on file?
You can change your own payment information online. Log in to your client portal account (see link on the homepage). Follow the prompts to add or edit the info. Make sure you select the option to make your new card the default payment method.
